My Doula Journey

When I found out I was pregnant, I was scared and desperate for spiritual guidance. Luckily, Spirit led my partner and I to Haize Hawke, a doula and midwife with over 20 years experience, who became our doula and later my mentor. Through working with her, I started to understand birth as a spiritual practice.

Giving birth changed everything for me, I became enamored with birth and birth work. While my daughter was very young, I began studying to become a doula myself. I quit my job in media and dove in completely. Over the past five years, helping families bring their babies earth side has been one of life's most gratifying experiences. Each birth I attend brings me a gift and knowledge that I carry with me into the next birth I attend.

I find myself growing alongside the women I serve. The intimacy of being present for such a transformative moment never gets old. I've had the privilege to assist many families with birth, pregnancy and postpartum support, and honestly, I can't imagine doing anything else. Birth work isn't just my passion, it's become my life.
